IBSAUD (International Bureau for Scientific Advancement and Universal Development) is a global initiative working to democratize access to STEM research, education, and innovation — especially in developing regions, communities, and for low-income and non-research culture institute students.

Anyone studying in the mentioned fields is eligible to apply for the role of “Field Experts”, where they learn directly from mentors in their respective domains.

Roles and Opportunities

Roles are divided into three categories: IBSAUD Fellows, IBSAUD Creators, and Mentors.

1. IBSAUD Fellows

Fellows are emerging researchers, innovators, and thinkers who form the intellectual and experimental core of IBSAUD — designing projects, writing briefs, conducting research, and driving innovation for global development.

Disciplines Represented

  • STEM and Applied Sciences: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Computer Science & AI, Data Science, Engineering, Biotechnology.
  • Social Sciences and Policy: Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Public Policy, Psychology, Philosophy & Ethics, Science Communication.

Eligibility: Undergraduate student in any of the above fields.

Roles and Responsibilities (Field Expert)

  • Conduct and co-author interdisciplinary research.
  • Design and execute Impact Cells (micro-projects).
  • Write IBSAUD Briefs on science, technology, and policy.
  • Participate in IBSAUD College learning modules and mentorship cycles.
  • Propose independent projects or data initiatives.
  • Represent IBSAUD in collaborations and public discussions.

Expected Skills

2. IBSAUD Coordinators

Creators are the design, communication, and media backbone of IBSAUD. They transform ideas and research into engaging, visible outputs that ensure projects reach audiences effectively.

  • Journalism and Media
  • Design Thinking and Product Design
  • Digital Communication and Content Strategy
  • Visual Design, Animation, Filmmaking
  • Event and Webinar Management
  • Platform and Technical Management
  • Community Moderation and Public Engagement

Eligibility: Studying or experienced in any of the above fields.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop visual and written communication materials.
  • Moderate forums, webinars, and discussions.
  • Manage digital infrastructure and documentation.
  • Produce short videos, infographics, and social media
  • Community Moderation and Public Engagement
  • Support Fellows in presenting findings in accessible formats.
  • Maintain IBSAUD’s knowledge base, archives, and event logistics.

Expected Skills and Qualities

  • Creative communication and design thinking.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with digital tools for content and collaboration.
  • Ability to translate complex research into clear, relatable narratives.
  • Professional reliability and teamwork with Fellows and Mentors.

3. Mentors

For PhDs, post‑docs, professors, and experts. → Learn more & apply as a Mentor

Non-Monetary Exchange

Volunteers gain value through:

  • Visibility through publications, briefs, reels, and collaborative outputs credited to members.
  • Mentorship & networking, including global peer networks.

Core Activities Include

  • Research, scripting, and writing briefs.
  • Moderating forums and hosting discussions.
  • Designing and executing micro-projects (Impact Cells).
  • Mentorship and collaborative teaching.
  • Producing visibility content (articles, reels, briefs).

Career & Recognition Pathway

  • Learning–Contribution Loop: Members learn → apply → produce → gain credibility.
  • Fluid Roles: Students and volunteers act as both learners and creators; hierarchy is minimal.
  • Selective Entry: Skills, motivation, and commitment determine entry; monetary compensation is not involved.
  • Outputs as Currency: Knowledge, authorship, measurable project impact, and leadership track record serve as proof of contribution.
  • Idea Ownership: Initial projects serve only as starting points; members are encouraged to propose and execute their own initiatives.
  • After 6 months: Certificate from IBSAUD recognizing contributions and project work.
  • After 8 months: Certificate from IBSAUD College for theoretical and practical learning achievements.
  • After 8 months (with leadership impact): Invitation to join the Youth Advisory Board of IBSAUD.
  • After 6 months: Priority consideration for relevant role recruitments.
